Flavor shift

Fluid shifts in the body during confinement dampen retronasal aroma and bias perception toward bitter. We compensate at the formulation stage — brighter origin, slightly higher acidity, fewer roast-derived bitters.

Barrier packaging

Multi-layer foil engineered to hold cocoa butter bloom flat across rapid temperature and pressure swings. V3 heat seals failed at 12 psi differential; V4 moves to ultrasonic welds.

Shelf life

Validation against accelerated aging at 35°C and 75% RH, plus vibration profiles modeled on launch and analog-habitat handling. Failure modes are bloom, off-aromas, and seal creep.
